{"id":2378,"date":"2026-01-28T11:13:15","date_gmt":"2026-01-28T16:13:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sarasotaschoolofmassagetherapy.edu\/?post_type=product&#038;p=2378"},"modified":"2026-02-03T16:21:19","modified_gmt":"2026-02-03T21:21:19","slug":"myofascial-components-of-head-neck-shoulder-pain","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/sarasotaschoolofmassagetherapy.edu\/es\/course\/myofascial-components-of-head-neck-shoulder-pain\/","title":{"rendered":"Myofascial Components of Head, Neck &#038; Shoulder Pain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Do you want to have fun while getting your CEU&#8217;s? \u00a0Spend a weekend with Pete Whitridge exploring the art of myofascial therapies. \u00a0You will receive lots of bodywork, learn new ways to handle clients with chronic pain, and reconnect with fellow massage therapists. \u00a0The myofascial release series consists of five different workshops. \u00a0Each workshop is an independent whole and may be taken individually. \u00a0These workshops will help you to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Refine your touching skills and gain new confidence.<\/li>\n<li>Teach your clients to work with you during therapy.<\/li>\n<li>Eliminate chronic pain by working below the client&#8217;s pain threshold.<\/li>\n<li>Slow down, focus your attention, and be more effective with less effort.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Workshop Concentration:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The head, neck and shoulder pain workshop focus on the &#8220;<em>Responsibility Center<\/em>&#8220;. \u00a0We will focus on the\u00a0<strong>scapulae, shoulder girdle, brachial plexus, cervical ligaments and mandible<\/strong>. \u00a0This is a multi-disciplinary approach to chronic pain. \u00a0We will use orthopedic assessments, passive and active fascial stretching, muscle energy techniques, hydrotherapies, and cross fiber friction, to help identify and eliminate pain and dysfunction. \u00a0Healing is a partnership between the client and the therapist. \u00a0We will also use self-care strategies to help clients maintain pain free movement.\u00a0<em>\u00a0Avoid burnout<\/em>; learn to help your clients help themselves!<\/p>\n<p>Saturday &amp; Sunday 9:30am-6pm<\/p>\n<p><strong>Discount for early registration by 5pm, September 18th, full price of $350 after.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NCBTMB approved course.
