SSMT is proud of its instructors, many of whom have been teaching at the school for over ten years and all of whom have extensive experience in the field of bodywork. The high rate of student satisfaction at SSMT is due in large part to the inspiration of the faculty!

Michelle Manna, LMT
Michelle graduated from SSMT in 1988 and has been an instructor at the school for 17 years. In 1993 and 1995 she traveled to Thailand to learn traditional Thai massage. At SSMT, she teaches Swedish massage, myology & neuromuscular therapy and Thai massage. In addition to regular classes, Michelle also teaches continuing education seminars in Thai massage. In 2002, she was honored by the Sarasota/Manatee chapter of the FSMTA with a lifetime achievement award for outstanding achievement as a Thai massage instructor and educator.

Michael Rosen-Pyros, DC
Michael was the director of SSMT from 1991-2000 and has been teaching at the school since 1989. He has been a chiropractic physician for more than 20 years and currently, in addition to teaching A&P at SSMT, maintains an active chiropractic practice in downtown Sarasota. In 2001, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Sarasota/Manatee chapter of the FSMTA for his contribution to the local massage therapy community.
